TIPS FOR BETTER EYESIGHT AND METHODS TO REDUCE BAGGY EYES, DARK CIRCLES!

Eyes are gifts that humans possess to admire this world. These are delicate and soft parts of our body which when strained or not taken care of properly may lead to eyesight problems, dark circles, baggy eyes, etc. The lifestyle that we have adopted is the root cause of these problems. But we may not be able to give up on it altogether at one go because it has become an indispensable part of our lives. Too much screen usage is one of the reasons that strain our eyes and causes dark circles and eyesight issues. It can be reduced by limiting our screen usage but for some whose career involves using computers and laptops for their livelihood, it cannot be foregone altogether. In such scenarios, we need to develop strategies and eye care routines which will be of great help. Let's have a look at it.

EAT LOADS OF FRUITS AND VEGGIES

👉Try to include at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies daily. Oranges and other citrus fruits contain Vitamin C, which is key for eye health.
👉Vitamin A and vision make potent allies. Carrots contain lots of beta carotene and vitamin A.
👉Eating Banana daily is likely to boost eye health and prevent vision-related diseases. Researchers have found that bananas have carotenoid - a compound that turns fruits and vegetables red, orange, and yellow and are converted into vitamin A.
👉The enzymes and the astringent properties in these vegetables help reduce inflammation and help tighten the skin. This remedy will also help get rid of dark circles and wrinkles around the eye.

POTATO SLICES

Potato contains natural bleaching agents that will help lighten the skin under your eyes. Cut a thin slice of potatoes and place them on your eyes and relax. Repeat it at least thrice a week for best results. Potatoes are rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, starch, and enzymes which aid in nourishing your skin around your eyes and prevent dark circles.

TOMATO/PINEAPPLE PACK

To get rid of dark circles try this: make a soft paste of tomato or pineapple juice, a squeeze of lemon, and some baking soda. Pat under the eye and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm then cold water.

TO GET RID OF BAGGY EYES

👉Cut fluids before bed.
👉Don't smoke.
👉Sleep Well!
👉Sleep with head slightly raised.
👉Breakfast helper for baggy eyes: eye whites, which work as natural astringent to temporarily tighten swollen skin.

HANDLING EXCESSIVE SCREEN USAGE

👉Take regular breaks while using a computer and other tasks that mostly involve your eyes.
👉USE 20-20-20 RULE: Let your eyes take a break every 20 minutes or so by looking at something that is 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
👉Close your eyes and rub them gently, as if tickling them, for 20 seconds. This reduces strain and provides instant relief.

TEA BAG THERAPY

Use a warm tea bag compress on the eyelid for 10-15 minutes four to six times per day. It may help unclog the blocked duct and relieve dryness.
